Drumroll, please... James’ new shoes are here! Fashionably late by just a day, but hey, great things take time, right?
First, let’s take a moment to honor the true warriors: James’ old Keens. Or maybe not honor—more like toss them straight into the trash! Those sandals were the absolute pits in the winter rains, battling puddles and soggy trails, and also not winning any style or comfort points anymore. They’ve officially earned their retirement—at the bottom of a garbage bag!
Enter the heroes of the hour: James’ brand-new Blundstone boots! Sturdy, weatherproof, and seriously stylish, they’re everything we could have hoped for. And thanks to YOU, our incredible supporters, these high-quality boots were within reach. They’re more than just shoes—they’re a symbol of the generosity and care you’ve showered on us.
Speaking of new things, we’re inching closer and closer to ordering a recumbent bicycle for James to try out! It will be a big expense, but it could also be a game-changer for his mobility and comfort. He’s been dragging his feet (not in his new boots, of course) when it comes to making a decision, but I’m doing my best to give him a gentle push. Time is of the essence, but with our trip back East around the corner, it’s looking like this exciting purchase might have to wait until we return. Fingers crossed we can get it rolling soon!
James is already planning to break in his new boots during our snowy Kentucky adventures. Just imagine: snowball fights, cozy strolls (those boots are lined with shearling sheep wool), and maybe even a touch of architectural sightseeing—all powered by his fabulous new kicks.
